Chalkdene Developments given green light for 50 new homes at Dark Lane in Cheshunt

The Borough of Broxbourne planners have granted outline consent for an attractive new development to be built on the former St Mary’s School playing fields located on Dark Lane, in Churchgate, Cheshunt.
The new community includes 50 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes with a mix of private and affordable units, and extensive green infrastructure.
The development will have views of an ancient monument known as Half Moat Manor House. A sword discovered at this spot is now on display in the Tower of London. The building works will include opening-up an existing culverted water course through the site.
Chalkdene Developments is now working up a Reserved Matters application.
